2014 Sochi Olympics: Cat curling is fantastic as it sounds (Video)

Yes, yes, before I start getting angry e-mails – no, this is not a real video. And yes, I know the video was uploaded in 2011 and features a clip from the 2006 Torino Olympics.

That said – it doesn’t make it any less awesome or irrelevant to the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

One of the most popular sports at the Winter games is curling. Partly because it’s hilarious to watch people run down a surface slicker than snot, brushing the path for a giant stone. Partly because of the Norwegian’s pants. And partly because there is a board game version of the sport you can play at home on your kitchen table (sans brushes, of course)).

But what if the game featured cats? I’m sure it’s a question you ask yourself on a daily basis like I do.

Thankfully we now have an answer as somebody decided to get a little creative with their video editing skills and turned the 06 Torino Olympics into cat curling. The end result? As awesome as you would expect.

The cat pur and meows are fantastic additions.
