WWE’s The Big Show

Professional wrestling fans who have been watching the World Wrestling Entertainment for the last 50 years or so, depending on how old you are, have noticed that everything changes once in awhile.

During the WCW/WWE Monday Night Wars, both businesses were providing entertainment that should have been strictly for mature audiences. Everybody who grew up watching the Attitude era misses it and begs for the company to bring it back almost every day. The fact is, that’s not going to happen, ever.

The company has turned it’s attention to the younger crowd, turning their product into a family friendly show. This is called the PG era. Not too many curse words, Divas don’t run around half-naked or have their tops ripped off with nothing underneath and they eliminated blood all-together. Unless it’s an accident.

Now the Big Show is a long-time professional wrestler and has worked with not only the WWE, but the WCW when both companies were going head to head. He sat down for an interview and discussed how things have changed since he first started back in 1995.

Big Show went on to say:

"“The business has completely evolved. When I started in 1995, it was like rock and roll. We couldn’t do anything wrong. The arenas were sold out. Our boss took good advantage of that and started building for the future. WWE went from teenage material to young adult to more family oriented which I think is a great move for our company. Nowadays it’s hard to get families together to watch a program. Our product is something that everyone can watch. I like to shake my big butt and make the kids laugh, it’s a good feeling.” Show via NoDQ.com."

A lot of the older Superstars that are still with the business have kids of their own, who may have kids of their own. So it makes sense that they’ve matured and cleaned things up, but it still doesn’t stop Attitude Era fans like myself from missing the good old days.
