Amidst ankle injuries, shoulder inflammations, knee surgeries, and rehab starts, one Oakland Athletics pitcher has a different sort of ailment.
Recently acquired starter Drew Pomeranz was slated to throw a bullpen session today, but a random problem is sidelining him, according to the San Francisco Chronicle’s Susan Slusser.
Drew Pomeranz isn't throwing today because of an issue with an ingrown hair, Bob Melvin says.

Pomeranz was acquired by the Athletics in a deal that sent Brett Anderson to Colorado. The ingrown hair news comes a day after relievers Ryan Cook and Sean Doolittle were delayed from their throwing programs because of minor ailments.
