There is a long list of #SochiProblems and it appears a cat falling through the ceiling of the Adler Olympic arena might be another.
Yep – not only is the construction at the hotels somewhat spotty, it apparently isn’t exactly the most sturdy at the Olympic venues either.
Here we have relatively boring security camera footage of the arena just moments before a black cat is seen falling through the roof, collapsing a few ceiling tiles in the process. Yes. A five pound (at best) feline was enough weight to collapse part of the ceiling. That makes you feel safe, no?
Thankfully – as you can see in the bottom corner of the video – this footage is from October so there won’t be any delays for the Olympic games taking place at Adler Olympic arena. Still, I’m not sure I’d be the most comfortable sitting in a concrete death chamber if a house cat can break through the roof tiles.
I’m guessing the ceiling was created out of the same material U.S. Bobsledder Johnny Quinn’s hotel bathroom door was crafted of.
