Pitchers and catchers for the Miami Marlins have already reported to their Spring Training complex, except for Triple-A reliever Jesus Sanchez.

According to MLBlogs.com, Sanchez is currently dealing with Visa issues, something that non-American citizens need in order to remain in the country. I know almost everybody knows that, but just pointing it out for those who were not familiar with that small problem foreign players always have to go through.

Sanchez spent all of 2013 with Miami’s Triple-A affiliate. He posted a 2.83 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 50/18 K/BB ratio over 70 even innings of work. Whenever this problem gets resolved, Sanchez has a very good chance of cracking the Major League 25 man roster and pitching out of the bullpen.

The 26 year old right handed pitcher is going to great things for this organization or whoever he ends up with in the future. Hopefully he’s able to avoid every serious injury possible.

But he needs to be able to report to training camp first. This problem should be fixed sometime soon.
