All the back-and-forth between Kevin Durant and LeBron James in recent weeks hasn’t been enough to put him on Durant’s most difficult to guard list.

The Miami Heat star was noticeably absent when Durant was asked who is the toughest cover for him in the NBA, suggesting Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant and New York Knicks All-Star Carmelo Anthony give him the most fits on the defensive end.

“Kobe and Carmelo. They just have an array of moves that can get me off balance,” Durant said of the two stars. “They’re strong on defense as well, but Kobe is just the ultimate one-on-one player. It would be fun playing against him but it would be tough to beat him.”

Durant and James have matched up plenty in one-on-one scenarios, so it’s a bit odd he was left off the mentions – though it could be due to the fact that James and Anthony are more one-on-one perimeter players in comparison to James, thus are more ‘difficult to guard’.
