The Los Angeles Clippers will not be giving former Los Angeles Lakers’ guard Sasha Vujacic a second 10 day contract.
At least not right now.
“We’re going to do [a 10-day contract] but we don’t know if it will be for Sasha or somebody else,” Clippers’ head coach Doc Rivers told Arash Markazi of ESPN Los Angeles. “I don’t know when we’re going to do one but we’ll do one eventually.”
The Clippers don’t want to use up a roster spot until after Thursday’s trade deadline just in case they need to extra spot.
“That’s why you don’t want to do a 10-day now, you don’t want to have the extra contract, you may need it,” Rivers said. “I don’t think anything’s going to happen honestly but you just never know. … We’re not out there looking for anything or to move anyone but people are calling so you do listen.”
In two games with the Clippers, Vujacic played a total of 10 minutes and averaged 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds per game.
