Eric Maynor has been a giant disappointment as the backup point guard in Washington. The Wizards have been attempting to trade for another point guard to back up All-Star John Wall, including Andre Miller of the Denver Nuggets, but they have not had any success.

The Wizards could opt to look to free agency to grab a point guard, but they haven’t found anyone they deem worthy. Vetern Roddy Beaubois is a free agent, but according to J. Michael of CSN Washington, there is “zero chance” they even bring Beaubois in for a workout.

"As the trade deadline approaches, the rumor mill regarding is in full spin cycle and the Wizards are right in the middle because they could use scoring and guard play off the bench. But as of Monday, they’re in a holding pattern and there is “zero” chance they’ll bring Roddy Beaubois in for a workout, two persons with knowledge of the situation have told CSN Washington. The Wizards (25-27) don’t have the roster spots with the maximum 15 fully guaranteed contracts. While there may be interest from other NBA teams, it was Beaubois agent, Bouna Ndiaye, who called the Wizards to inquire about interest."

Beaubois helped the Mavericks win a championship back in 2011 and his experience and skills could help a team that is desperate for a point guard.

The Wizards, however, are not that team.
