The NBA trade deadline is approaching and with less than four days until the deadline arrives, teams are starting to both make calls to teams and put players on the block. We’ve heard that the Philadelphia 76ers fall into the previous category while the Houston Rockets and Detroit Pistons appear to be in the latter.
According to Sam Amico from FOX Sports, Omer Asik and Rodeny Stuckey are among some names that league sources have told him to keep an eye on as the deadline nears.
Some intriguing names to keep eye on as potential moving parts, mentioned to me by league insiders: Milwaukee Bucks forward Ersan Ilyasova and guard Gary Neal; Philadelphia 76ers forward Thaddeus Young; Detroit Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey; and, of course, Rockets center Omer Asik.
Asik’s name makes sense since he’s been almost traded once this season to the Boston Celtics. Stuckey is a bit new to the conversation, but Joe Dumars may be compelled to make a trade to try and save his job with the Pistons. Either way, more names will likely be added as we near a deadline sure to be full of activity.
