NBA Trade Rumors: Suns could be looking to acquire Ersan Ilyasova?

The Phoenix Suns are said to be in the market for a ‘big name’ player like Pau Gasol, but that player may not be out there – or at least – not affordable.

So it’s possible the Suns could opt to go for a bit smaller piece like Ersan Ilyasova of the Milwaukee Bucks, this according to Sam Smith of Bulls.com.

Ersan Ilyasova supposedly has expressed disappointment and could be a player the Suns can move forward with as a shooting power forward. Maybe the Bucks add Gary Neal, who played well for the Spurs and has been banished for some reason. The Suns have draft picks to sweeten a deal.

It would be a little shocking to see the Suns part with a first round draft pick, but if they did it would most likely be one of their extremely late first round picks.

The Bucks would certainly be selling low on Ilyasova, but they’d also be ridding themselves of his contract which pays him $8 million dollars for the next three seasons, though the final year is not fully guaranteed.

The Suns would be moving Emeka Okafor in the said scenario.

…… PAAAH LLLEASE… Ryan would never do something like that. Dude makes too much money for what he is worth. Why would we take Neal? This makes no sense.

Put down the pipe. Suns would never destroy their cap space for a mediocre player. This is a guy you salary dump. Another bogus suns rumor…

Everyone just thinks they will dump their bad contracts on the suns for their good assets.
