The highlight of the Pac-12 conference this week came on Valentine’s Day as the No. 2 Arizona Wildcats traveled to Tempe, Az. to take on their in-state rival Arizona State Sun Devils. For the fans in attendance and those watching on their televisions, they were treated to quite the basketball game.
It took 10 extra minutes to decide this one on Friday night as Arizona and Arizona State battled until the final second ticked away in double overtime as the home team pulled off the upset and narrowed the gap that Arizona has on the UCLA Bruins and Sun Devils for conference supremacy.
Entering the week of Feb. 16, Arizona holds a one game lead over Arizona and two games over Arizona State and the Cal Bears with six games remaining on their schedule that ends on Mar. 8.
