X-Men: Days of Future Past – Three New Images From the Film

There is still about three months until the release of the latest installation in the X-Men franchise entitled X-Men: Days of Future Past; however, there are still plenty of juicy little tidbits to be released prior to the film. Total Film has released 3 new images from the upcoming mutant extravaganza that give us a little bit of insight as to what may happen when the past is on a collision course with the future of the X-Men, and the rest of the world.

Just in case you’re not up to date with the premise of the new film, here is a look at the official synopsis of X-Men: Days of Future Past courtesy of IMDb.com.

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.”

The first picture may look very familiar to you, as it should. This is another angle on a shot that was previously released by Empire Magazine. It shows a 1970’s Wolverine about to go head-to-head with at least two assailants. I have a feeling this isn’t going to go well for the men with the guns.

The next image shows what I would like to call a meeting of the minds. Finally, a young Professor X comes face to face with what he is destined to become should things play out the way that they have in the current time.

Last, but certainly not least, this brings us to a picture of a young Magneto and Mystique. I think it is safe to say from the looks of the picture that she is not in the best of moods at the moment. One can only imagine what Magneto may have said or done to put himself in such a precarious position; however, I doubt it is anything that he can’t handle.

There is still a lot of time between now and the release of the film. This means that there is plenty of time for more small tidbits to find the light of day that we can gobble up as we anxiously await the release of the film. Personally, I would like to see a little more of Bolivar Trask and his sentinels. Who would have ever thought that Tyrion Lannister would bring about an army of giant, mutant-hunting robots?

X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to be released on May 23, 2014.
