The injury riddled Los Angeles Lakers (18-35) will have some fire power coming back Thursday when they face the Houston Rockets.
Jodie Meeks, the teams third leading scorer, is set to return from Thursday after suffering an ankle injury against the Minnesota Timberwolves after just one minute of action.
The Lakers went 2-3 without Meeks in the lineup.
When Meeks returns Thursday, he’ll actually be the teams leading scorer of active players.
Pau Gasol (17 ppg) is questionable and Nick Young (16.9 ppg) is currently out.
Meeks has averaged a career highs of 14.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.4 steals on career high shooting numbers of 44.9 fg% and 40.3% from 3.
This is Meeks second year with the team after spending three seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers and one year with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Jordan Farmar (hamstring) and Steve Nash (back) may also be active for the Lakers against the Rockets.
The Lakers will welcome Dwight Howard for the first time this season after seeing him depart via free agency.
