Kyle Penniston commits to Wisconsin Badgers

The Wisconsin Badgers have been known for producing excellent tight ends.

Travis Beckum of the Seattle Seahawks, Jake Byre of the San Diego Chargers, Garrett Graham of the Houston Texans and Lance Kendricks of the St. Louis Rams are all currently on NFL rosters.

The Badgers might have found their next great tight end when they got a commitment from Kyle Penniston on Monday night.

The 6’5, 232-pounder attends powerhouse Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. Penniston is considered a 3-star prospect, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings. He is the 13th-best tight end prospect, 46th best overall prospect in the state of California and the 345th best overall prospect in the class 2015.

He is considered a 4-star recruit by 24/7 Sports.

He is Wisconsin’s second commitment, joining 3-star quarterback Austin Kafentzis.

Penniston also had offers from the Florida State Seminoles and Miami Hurricanes, among others.
