Malik Clements commits to Cincinnati Bearcats

The Cincinnati Bearcats went into Virginia to get their first commitment in the class 2015.

Safety Malik Clements gave his pledge to the Bearcats Monday evening.

The 6’2, 185-pounder attends George Washington High School in Danville, Virginia.

“I went there for a visit, and I liked their coaching staff,” Clements told Tim Adams of 24/7 Sports. “I was there in October for their homecoming. I was also impressed with the fans and how the players interacted with each other. It was like a brotherhood, and I like that.”

Clements also has high academic standards for himself and he likes what the Bearcats have to offer.

“That’s another reason I like Cincinnati,” Clements explained. “They offer medical fields.”

Clements wants to be a dentist.

Clements has not been ranked by 24/7 Sports as of this time.

He chose the Bearcats over the Central Florida Knights, Duke Blue Devils, Kent State Golden Flashes and North Carolina State Wolfpack, among other interest.
