With the NBA trade deadline now just over 24 hours away, it’s starting to be crunch time for teams who want to make moves or want to sell off players. The Houston Rockets are looking to fall into the latter category and sell off Omer Asik, despite the fact that they’re not technically sellers by definition in the market.

We heard from Ken Berger earlier on Tuesday that the Rockets hard revisited Omer Asik trade talks with the Philadelphia 76ers and now it appears are the most likely spot for the Turkish center to land.

Overlooking the throwing stones nature of the tweet, it does remind us that the 76ers were in talks to acquire Asik back in December before talks fell through. The only hang up is the Rockets wanting what the Sixers seem to be looking to stockpile — draft picks.

Still, the 76ers are $11 million under the salary cap and could acquire Asik without sending out any of their trade chips in the process.
