It was first reported during the offseason that the Knicks and Nuggets were in discussions regarding a Faried for Iman Shumpert trade.
With multiple wing players out, the Nuggets may be more inclined to consider this trade more than they have before.
Faried has seen his numbers decline under first-year coach Brian Shaw. He’s averaging 10.4 points and 7.5 rebounds this season after averaging 11.5 points and 9.2 rebounds last season.
Shumpert is 7.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 27.1 minutes per game.
