The Dallas Mavericks may be exploring to see what their two better trade pieces can net them.
Earlier, I tweeted that the Mavs are kicking the tires. I’m told that Dallas has been gauging interest in Shawn Marion and Shane Larkin.

It should come to no surprise that the Mavericks may be looking to see what veteran Shawn Marion and rookie Shane Larkin can net them
Marion, 35, is still one of the better defensive players in the league. His contract is also set to expire at the end of the season, something some teams may be interesting in acquiring to clear cap space.
Marion is averaging 10.6 points and a team-high 6.8 rebounds per game.
Marion has also has seemed to regain his touch from behind the arc. He’s shooting 36.8% from 3, his highest since the 2002-2003 season.
Larkin, 21, was the 18th overall pick of the Mavericks this past summer. With the inability to package a first round pick, Larkin may be the closest thing to that, that the Mavericks can offer.
In 36 games this season, Larkin has averaged 3.3 points and 1.8 assists. He’s recently struggled to get on the court since Devin Harris returned from offseason toe surgery.
