The Denver Nuggets have repeatedly suggested that Kenneth Faried is not available, but with a looming contractual decision on the horizon – the Nuggets know they need to make a decision on his future.
If they do happen to entertain the thought of trading him, former Nuggets executive and current Toronto Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri wants in.
It was Ujiri who drafted Faried back in 2011 when working with the Nuggets and it seems as if he’d like a reunion with his former power forward.
The Toronto Raptors have expressed interest in acquiring Denver Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried before Thursday’s trade deadline, league sources told Basketball Insiders.
Denver is listening to offers for the 24-year-old, but nothing is imminent.
After blossoming last season, Faried has been a bit of a disappointment for the Nuggets and they appear somewhat concerned to pay him a hefty sum moving forward.
It’s not known what the Raptors would be offering in exchange for Faried or even what the Nuggets’ price tag would be, so the interest appears to be exploratory at this stage.
