Multiple teams in need of a point guard seem to have interest in Jarrett Jack of the Cleveland Cavaliers, but not the Washington Wizards.
According to Sam Amick, the Wizards, who recently expressed interest in obtaining a backup point guard, are not in on Jack.
In Washington, Wizards in the market for backup point guard but I’m told they are not involved the talks for Cleveland’s Jarrett Jack.
Jack, who signed a four year, $25 million dollar contract with the Cavaliers has struggled and it appears Cleveland is more than willing to trade the former Georgia Tech product.
However, the Wizards likely don’t want to add Jack’s salary, which likely has decreased their interest in Jack.
While the Wizards will continue to search through the market to find an available point guard they’re interested in, it’s also been reported they may simply wait until the trade deadline passes and see what’s available in free agency as they’re hopeful a few significant names will be bought out post-deadline.
The Sacramento Kings and Brooklyn Nets are said to have interest in Jack.
