We are just about four and a half months away from the release of Tammy, the latest comedic effort from Mike & Molly actress Melissa McCarthy. It is certainly never too early to start getting the word out about a new flick, and in that spirit, Warner Bros. has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming laugh-fest.
Just in case you haven’t heard the premise of the film yet, here is a quick look at the synopsis of the film.
Tammy (Melissa McCarthy) is having a bad day. She’s totaled her clunker car, gotten fired from her thankless job at a greasy burger joint, and instead of finding comfort at home, finds her husband getting comfortable with the neighbor in her own house. It’s time to take her boom box and book it. The bad news is she’s broke and without wheels. The worse news is her grandma, Pearl (Susan Sarandon), is her only option—with a car, cash, and an itch to see Niagara Falls. Not exactly the escape Tammy had in mind. But on the road, with grandma riding shot gun, it may be just what Tammy needs.”
In the trailer, we find Tammy getting out of her car with a paper bag over her hand in the shape of what could be perceived by someone as a gun, and another over her head with holes cut of it for the eyes. She has pulled into a burger joint named Topper Jack’s. One can only assume this is the place that relieved her of her job.
She proceeds to attempt to rob the place with nothing more than her crocs and paper bags.
To be honest, this is something you really have to see to believe. Here is a look at the new teaser trailer for the upcoming film Tammy.
