The LSU Tigers, who landed the #2 overall recruiting class in 2014, continue to roll on the recruiting trail in 2015.
On Wednesday, they received a commitment from the nation’s top rated fullback, David Ducre.
The 6’0, 228-pound Ducre attends Lakeshore High School in Mandeville, Louisiana.
Shea Dixon of 24/7 Sports has the scoop.
Not only was he on the shortlist of invitees to the Boys from the Boot junior day event, but he also got some one-on-one time with the coaches. During one of those meetings, LSU extended a full scholarship to Ducre as a fullback for the 2015 class.
On Wednesday morning, the Geaux247 staff confirmed with multiple sources on the LSU side that Ducre has committed to the Tigers.
Ducre is considered a 4-star by 24/7 Sports and is considered a 3-star fullback, the 26th best overall prospect in the state of Louisiana and the 435th best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Ducre camped with LSU, the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Southern Miss Golden Eagles over the summer.
He chose LSU over Southern Miss, among others.
