Miami Heat superstar ignited a sports debate with his Mount Rushmore comment, now it is the sports bar debate that won’t die down. Ahead of the Dallas Mavericks match up against the Heat, forward Shawn Marion was asked if LeBron belonged on the NBA’s Mount Rushmore.

“No, I think he’s very talented and he ain’t done playing,” Marion said, via the Dallas Morning News. “He’s still got a lot of years ahead of him, but right now? No.

“There’s a lot of guys up there that have done a lot more than he’s done in his career right now. They are going to be up there. But at the end of his career, who knows? It’s possible, definitely. I’m not saying it won’t happen, but right now, no.”

Of course LeBron was asked to respond, which he did.

“I really don’t care what people say or what people think,” James said, via CBS. “Once again, it was blown out of context. When it’s all said and done, I feel like I can be one of the greatest to ever play this game and I won’t sell myself short. It doesn’t matter what Shawn Marion says or anybody says about the way I play the game of basketball.”
