The Charlotte Bobcats hiked up their trousers before the trade deadline and got ready to dive into some splashy trades that would make them contenders in the Eastern Conference. They’re still in the running for the eighth seed, but they’re now unlikely to land the trades they were hoping for.
After missing out on Evan Turner, the Bobcats have now reportedly swung and missed on Orlando Magix star Arron Afflalo.
It’s unlikely that Charlotte will score on targets Arron Afflalo or Anthony Morrow, league source says. Gary Neal still in play for Bobcats.

This is sort of a crushing blow to Bobcats fans who may have gotten their hopes up that the team would be making a move before the deadline, but this might be for the better. Charlotte may still make the postseason, but their chances of landing a splashy player at the deadline are far less likely.
