The Minnesota Timberwolves have repeatedly said that they will not be trading Kevin Love before the trade deadline passes on Thursday. Despite their pleas, the team is still getting calls for Love and that has promoted insane rumors involving the Lakers, Mavericks and even the Golden State Warriors.

Chad Ford from ESPN.com states that while Love is coveted, the Wolves are unlikely to trade him now as they’ll get fairer value over the summer, closer to the draft.

"I think the draft/summer would probably be the ideal time to move him. Typically it’s harder to get the best value at the trade deadline. The challenge is that the only teams willing to offer huge assets are the teams that think they can re-sign him. However, those same teams think they could get him for nothing if they just waited a year which means, essentially, the Wolves will never get equal value in return."

Ford mentions the interest the Warriors have, something he’s done a few times on Wednesday as it appears Golden State is enamored with Love. Still, that doesn’t mean a deal will get done as the Wolves keeping Love through this season always seemed likely.
