NBA Trade Rumors: Philadelphia 76ers call every team about trade offers

The Philadelphia 76ers have been in plenty of trade rumors over the last month, but they’re only starting to heat up more and more. As if they hadn’t appeared in enough trade rumors as it is, Jason Wolf of USA Today Sports reports that general manager Sam Hinkie has been on the phone with every single team in the NBA about possibly making a trade.

Obviously, he’s been turned away, but the Sixers clearly aren’t dragging their feet as the deadline nears.

Sixers general manager Sam Hinkie has reportedly discussed the possibility of dealing Hawes and fellow veterans Evan Turner and Thaddeus Young with every team in the NBA as the trade deadline looms at 3 p.m. Thursday, though a source close to the situation has said there’s a “good chance” nothing happens.

Even if a deal doesn’t get done before the deadline passes — which would be shocking given all the rumors — it won’t be for a lack of trying. The Sixers want to get a deal done but it appears that one jus tight not be there for them after all.
