NBA Trade Rumors: Warriors not hanging up phone on Harrison Barnes offers

The Golden State Warriors continue to suggest that they’re not willing to trade Harrison Barnes, but that appears to be nothing but hot air as Chad Ford of ESPN says they’re not hanging up the phone when teams call about Barnes.

They are telling Barnes and everyone he isn’t available, but they aren’t exactly hanging up the phone when GMs have called.

Ford’s suggestion that the Warriors are open to moving Barnes jives with a few other insiders who have suggested the same.

Frankly put, the Warriors simply have too many good swingmen and letting one rot away on the bench isn’t improving the team. With Andre Iguodala, Harrison Barnes and Klay Thompson, it seems as if moving one player – difficult as it might be – would be in the best interest of the Warriors as both Thompson and Barnes could bring a very solid return.

It’s just a matter of figuring out who is more beneficial to the Warriors future, Barnes or Thompson. Right now, at least according to the trade rumors, it appears to be Thompson.
