Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb is establishing himself as a receiver who can have a long and successful career. He is headed into a contract year in 2014 and would prefer to get an extension done before the start of the season, but the Packers haven’t discussed one with Cobb or his agent yet.

“Not that I know of,” Cobb said. “My agent hasn’t mentioned it to me, so I don’t know if there’s been any talks.”

Cobb isn’t looking to leave the Packers, he’d prefer to sign a long-term deal with the team.

“I would definitely love that,” he said. “But unfortunately that won’t be my decision. That will be on the team to come to me with that decision.”

“I would love to get it out the way and not to have to worry about any of the conversations or answering any questions during the season that would take away from what we’re trying to do as a football team.”
