As the Miami Dolphins begin reacting to the findings of the Ted Wells Report, it is being reported that trainer Kevin O’Neill has been relieved of his duties with the team. O’Neill was named in the report as a man who turned a blind eye to the bullying and Chris Mortensen passed along the news that he has been fired.

The report stated:

“O’Neill, the head trainer, not only overheard the racist insults, but also sometimes laughed along and never intervened. We did not cover this specific topic in our interview with O’Neill, which was cut short because O’Neill expressed hostility toward our investigation.”

O’Neill reportedly stood around and did nothing as players like Richie Incognito, Mike Pouncey and John Jerry insulted and harassed an assistant trainer with racial slurs and other derogatory remarks.

With O’Neill’s firing, it seems highly unlikely that Incognito will have a future with the team because he was the main culprit.
