Sochi Olympics, biathlon mixed relay results: Bjoerndalen becomes most decorated Winter Olympian ever

The inaugural biathlon mixed relay is in the books at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and it was a historic event for one of the greatest Olympians of all-time. Norway was able to bring home the gold with a team stacked with individual medalists in the Sochi Games, but it was Ole Einar Bjoerndalen who went down in the history books following the conclusion of the race.

With his latest gold medal, Bjoerndalen becomes the most decorated Winter Olympian ever.

This was Bjoerndalen’s 13th medal in his storied Olympic career.

The Czech Republic captured the silver medal in the event, while Italy was able to stake their claim to the bronze.
