It looks like Antawns Jamison time in Atlanta may be short lived.

After being dealt from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Atlanta Hawks, Jamison and the Hawks may look for a buyout.

The Hawks acquired Jamison from the Clippers for the rights to Cenk Akyol (2005 second-round draft pick). Akyol isn’t expect to pursue a career in the NBA.

The last two seasons Jamison has latched on to supposed contending teams, but has never been able to latch a role.

Jamison wanting to spend the end of his career for the 7th place Hawks may lead to him wanting such buyout.

Last season he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers in the wake up Dwight Howard and Steve Nash joining the team. He averaged 9.4 points, but the Lakers never lived up to expectations.

This past summer he latched on with the Clippers to replace the void Lamar Odom left. He’s appeared in just 22 games, averaging 3.8 points in 11.3 minutes a game.
