Braves, Andrelton Simmons agree on a seven year, $58 million deal

I was talking to a buddy of mine last night who happens to be an Atlanta Braves fan, and he mentioned how excited he was about Andrelton Simmons.

He went on to talk about how the Braves did a great job locking up the ‘young guns’ to long-term deals, but all they needed to do was to handle Simmons next. This conversation went on for about two hours or so, eventually leading up to ridiculous quotes being thrown out by Bill Murray and Harry Caray.

Because I’m a Chicago Cubs fan.

Anyways, following up to Hayden Kane’s post just four days ago that Andrelton Simmons could be the next Atlanta Brave who could receive a contract extension. He was right.

Atlanta and the young short stop have agree’d on a seven year contract worth $58 million, according to clubs Twitter handle.

Braves fans should be excited about this deal.
