In what has to be the most surprising move of the day, the Los Angeles Clippers have dealt veteran forward Antawn Jamison to the Atlanta Hawks, according to sources of ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.

The Clippers have been involved in several different rumors, which makes you think this is simply to clear a spot and/or cap room for an acquisition, whether it be a trade today or a a free agent signing of a current free agent or a player who will be bought out down the road.

After spending last season with the Los Angeles Lakers, the Clippers signed Jamison to provide depth before the season. However, that hasn’t worked out. The 37-year old Jamison has played in just 22 games, averaging 3.8 points and 2.5 rebounds in 11.3 minutes per game.

The Clippers have been in talks to acquire big man Tyler Zeller from the Cleveland Cavaliers and have had serious talks about acquiring guard Iman Shumpert from the New York Knicks.
