NBA Trade Rumors: Clippers, Cavaliers discussing Tyler Zeller deal

It was said yesterday that the Los Angeles Clippers were concerned about trading Reggie Bullock, but that stance may have changed with Tyler Zeller now on the block.

After acquiring Spencer Hawes earlier in the day, the Cleveland Cavaliers are said to have placed Zeller on the block and it appears the Clippers want in – this according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.

The Clippers and Cavs have had discussions on trade involving Reggie Bullock for Tyler Zeller, sources told ESPN

It’s a little questionable as to why the Cavaliers would want to move Zeller unless they feel they’ll be able to retain Hawes at season end, as he’s a free agent.

Zeller meanwhile is in his second season, though has been a disappointment in his sophomore campaign in comparison to his rookie year.

The Clippers have been rumored to be interested in a bench big man for a few months now, a role Zeller would fit perfectly.

As for Bullock, the rookie has played well with the Clippers this season – though given the team’s depth at the wing position, doesn’t have much of a future with the franchise.
