NBA Trade Rumors: Golden State Warriors to keep Harrison Barnes?

The Golden State Warriors are stocked with talented wing players and there was thought they may attempt to trade one in hopes of securing a big man.

That appears unlikely though as Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio suggests the Warriors are expected to keep Harrison Barnes, who had his name surface in trade rumors during the past few days.

#Cavs also inquired about #Warriors F Harrison Barnes, but #Warriors have not placed Barnes on block and plan to keep him, sources say.

Trading Barnes (or even Klay Thompson) would be a difficult decision for Golden State given the talent of both players, but with Barnes, Thompson and Andre Igoudala on the same roster, players aren’t getting used to their full capacity.

Barnes could certainly bring a very solid return for the Warriors, but given his cheap rookie scale contract, it makes him difficult to deal for a solid player without moving additional assets.

For now, it appears as if Barnes will be staying by the Bay.
