Baltimore Ravens defensive end Arthur Jones is set to hit free agency in March, where he will be one of the most highly sought after free agents in the league regardless of position. Unfortunately for the Ravens, he may be bolting for a bigger contract than they can offer.

According to the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens “might not be able to afford” Jones even if they restructure the deal of Terrell Suggs and limit his cap number.

Jones is coming off of the best year of his career and he appears ready to cash in.

There will be limited options for Jones on the open market because he is strictly a 3-4 five-technique defensive end. That said, his versatility should have any team running a 30 front salivating and eager to add him to their roster in the offseason.

We will have to see how the market for Jones develops in the coming weeks and where he ends up, but the Ravens are quickly becoming an unrealistic destination.
