If you didn’t get enough of the Anchorman 2 action the first time the film rolled around in theaters, you’re very much in luck as Paramount will be re-releasing the film at the end of February.

According to director Adam McKay, the film is returning to theaters on February 28th and will include over 700 new jokes that we didn’t hear in the original run of the film. The re-release will also carry an R-rating, meaning this one is especially not for the kiddies.

“When my editor told me we had a whole different version of the movie that was more than two hours long with nearly 800 new jokes, I was shocked. But when Paramount said they were actually going to put it in theaters, I did an 1950’s spit take.  If you’re a hardcore Anchorman fan go see this. If you’re not, stay very far away.”

When the film was being released back in December, McKay gave an interview in which he stated his editor had compiled over 800 jokes that had to be cut from the film for pacing and for time constraints, but that there was enough to make a whole different film.

That gives fans incentive to go catch the R-rated re-release, as it’s an entirely different movie that what came out in mid-December.
