Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo is a hot commodity and whenever trade rumors pick up he is always at the center of them.  Of course there is the added stress of Rondo being eligible for free agency after next season.

Celtics general manager Danny Ainge professed a love for Rondo and said that Rondo loves Boston as well.

“I believe he loves the city of Boston,” Ainge said, via CSNNE.com. ”He believes in us, in turning this thing around. There’s not a lot of stress right now because he knows he’s not 100 percent. He’s still getting healthy. I think by next year you’ll see the real Rajon Rondo. I think right now, it’s all good and we’ll just go from there.”

Ainge went on to praise Rondo and his popularity.

“To his credit, he’s a top 10 jersey sales guy in the NBA,” Ainge said of Rondo. “He’s a popular figure. When anyone mentions his name, it creates buzz. Rondo is one of those players, like Paul Pierce, every trade deadline, every year, ever summer there’s rumors and whether it’s true or not, he’s going to be talked about.”
