First he was  suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL substance abuse policy, and now Fred Davis has been arrested and charged with a DUI:

It is possible Davis’ NFL career is over. He was due to become a free agent next month, having caught seven passes last season as a member of the Washington Redskins. Davis had released a statement following his suspension, and was aiming for reinstatement in the fall. Though this latest brush with the law will not help his cause.

While players with issues are regularly picked up if they have enough talent, Davis’ production on the field will likely not be enough for teams to look past his off the field and substance concerns. His best two seasons were in 2009 and 2011, when he caught 48 and 59 passes respectively, and six and three touchdowns.
