Ingrown toenail holds White Sox' Avisail Garcia back

This year’s Spring Training has already seen Oakland Athletics’ pitcher Drew Pomeranz held back because of a lanced in-grown hair.

It’s only fitting that another in-grown problem holds another player back.

Avisail Garcia was traded from the Detroit Tigers to the Chicago White Sox as part of a three-team deal in the middle of last season. The move happened about a week before the White Sox traded Alex Rios to the Texas Rangers. After being called up by the Tigers, Garcia played in 72 games, batting .283/.309/.422 between the two clubs with 7 homers and 31 RBI. He currently projects as the starting right fielder for the White Sox.
