In that game, Sean Kilpatrick became the Bearcats’ second all-time leading scorer after a game-high 23 point performance. With 1,990 career points, he is now just 10 points shy of joining Oscar Robertson (2,973) as the only Bearcat to score 2,000 points.
Louisville (22-4, 11-2 ACC) has won its last five games after posting an 80-54 home win over the University of South Florida in its last game. Four Cardinals scored in double figures led by Russ Smith’s 19 points.
Cincinnati earned a hard-fought 69-66 victory when the two teams last met in Louisville on Jan. 30. In that game, the Cardinals faced an eight-point halftime deficit before taking the lead with less than three minutes to play. Cincinnati then finished the game on a 6-2 run to capture the victory. The Bearcats were led by Kilpatrick’s 28 points, while Montrezl Harrell led the Cardinals with 18.
