Injuries are not restricted to just players in sports. Coaches and bystanders can be hit just as hard.

A scary moment happened at the Dodgers’ training facility today as Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax, Special Advisor to the team Chairman, was drilled in the head with a line drive, reports Ken Gurnick of MLB.com. Koufax was observing batting practice when a foul ball hit him in the left side of the head.

According to reports from media members in attendance, Koufax stayed on his feet but suffered a forehead cut. He was conscious and smiling as he was driven to the minor league side of the complex with a trainer. Andre Ethier seems to have been the batter who hit the line drive.
