The end of the Duke-Syracuse game was ridiculous for more than one reason. While Jim Boeheim is dominating the conversation thanks to his reaction, the root cause of his reaction is the big thing we all need to talk about. The No. 1 team in the country were technically beaten by the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday night but a lot of fans wearing orange are saying the referees beat them.

Why are they saying that? C.J. Fair was called for an offensive foul after scoring a game changing bucket with just over 10-seconds left to go, but the video evidence (and the basketball rulebook) seems to suggest that the foul should have been called on Duke.

The foul is what led to Boeheim sprinting onto the court to scream at the officials for making the call — or blowing the call depending on who you are. But the call itself is what we will be talking about longer than we’re talking about Boeheim’s reaction.

Duke fans will defend the call while Syracuse fans will call out the officials for making what looks like a wrong call. The question is, who does the video evidence really support and how badly will this loss hurt the Orange?
