Nikola Pekovic, Derrick Favors out tonight


Both the Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz will be without their starting centers tonight when they face each other tonight.

Nikola Pekovic has missed the last 10 games with an ankle injury. The Wolves and Pekovic were hoping that he’d finally be able to suit up tonight.

Derrick Favors has missed the last two games with an injured hip.

Enes Kanter will take over the center spot for the Jazz.

Pekovic has averaged career-highs of 18 points and 9.1 rebounds this season.

The Wolves will also be without backup center Ronny Turiaf, who will be out for 3 weeks with a knee injury.

Favors is averaging 12.9 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks a game for the Jazz.

In his last two games starting for Favors, Kanter has averaged 21.5 points and 10 rebounds for the Jazz.
