Paul MIllsap out for Hawks against Knicks

The Atlanta Hawks, losers of eight straight, will be without their All-Star power forward tonight as they try to stay within the top eight of the Eastern Conference.

Pau Millsap will miss tonight’s game against the New York Knicks. Millsap was injured in the loss to the Detroit Pistons. He suffered a right knee contusion during the game but was able to stay in.

The Hawks are currently the 8th seed in the East with a 25-29 record, but have only a 1.5 game lead on the 9th seeded Detroit Pistons.

Both the Hawks and Knicks will be on the second end of a back-to-back.

The Knicks lost 129-121 in double overtime to the Orlando Magic.

The Knicks currently sit 4.5 games back of the Hawks.

The Hawks are also out without franchise player Al Horford, who is out for the season with a right pectoral muscle injury.

Millsap has averaged 17.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in his first season with the Hawks.
