If you’ve missed any of the Sochi Olympics this year, then you’ve likely missed how dominant the Dutch speed skating team has been. But if you’ve missed the performance this year on the track by the Netherlands because you were watching the NFL Combine, than you’d better not tell the team’s coach.

Jillert Anema was interviewed on CNBC about his team’s amazing run through the Sochi Olympics, and not only did he very much toot his own horn, but he went on a random rant that blasted the NFL and America’s love of the violent game.

Here’s the video of Anema’s epic rant:

If you can’t view the video, here’s the main quote you need to know about:

"You have a lot of attention on a foolish sport like American football and you waste a lot of talent, athletic talent, on a sport that is meant to kill each other, to injure each other. … You’re so narrow-minded, and then you want to compete against the world [in other sports] when you waste a lot of time, good talent on a sport that sucks."

Mic. Drop.

There’s an ongoing debate in America about the violence involved in football and some have come to Anema’s defense. Others have pointed out that you can name the second string quarterback on any team in the league but most people can’t name one Dutch gold medalist.

That’s either the best retort to Anema’s rant or a sad fact about how closed off American’s are to the rest of the world’s sports scene.
