Davis will give the Clippers much-needed depth at the bigs positions
The Clippers currently only have Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Ryan Hollins, and Hedo Turkoglu on the frontline.
Davis spent four season with Clippers’ coach Doc Rivers in Boston, so their familiarity may make for a smooth transition.
Also Davis’s ability to run the pick-and-pop game may be a great fit with Chris Paul running the show.
Davis and the Orlando Magic agreed to a buyout after the team wasn’t able to trade him prior to the NBA trade deadline.
In 45 games (43 starts) with the Magic, Davis has averaged 12.1 points and 6.3 rebounds in 30.1 minutes of action.
The Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat were also mentioned to have interest in Davis.
