Greg Oden gets first start since 2009 with Heat

Just a season ago it would have been crazy to think Greg Oden would be on a court playing, it would have been even crazier to think he’d be starting.

Well, with LeBron James out with a broken nose, the Miami Heat inserted the former number one pick into the starting lineup.

This was Oden’s first start since December 2009 when he was on the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Heat took on the Derrick Rose-less Bulls  93-79 in Miami.

Oden played just 13 minutes, tallying 5 points and 5 rebounds.

Oden, 26, has played in 10 games to this point, averaging 2.8 points and 2.2 rebounds in 7.8 minutes.

Since being the number one overall pick by the Blazers in 2007, Oden has played in just 92 games, averaging 8.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks.
