The NFL Scouting Combine is this weekend in Indinapolis and all the top prospects in the draft are coming out to show off a good impression to the scouts and coaches watching in attendance. The wide receivers ran their 40-yard dash times on Sunday and it was of little surprise to see speedster Odell Beckham lead the pack with an unofficial 4.31 dash.
Beckham has literally been sprinting onto the scene thanks to his breakaway speed and his unofficial 40-time, which won’t be much faster than his official time, is further proof that there’s palace for him in the NFL.
UNOFFICIAL WR 40 times: *LSU’s Odell Beckham: 4.31. *Texas A&M’s Mike Evans: 4.47. *Florida State’s Kelvin Benjamin: 4.59.

For comparison, Beckham finished a tenth of a second slower than Darius Heyward-Bey who ran the 7th fastest 40-time in Combine history back in 2009 and is tied with Yamon Figurs, Darrentt Williams and Tye Hill. None of those names jump out at you, but all were high picks i the draft which shows that while Beckham will del himself on his speed, he needs to prove himself by developing game around it.
