Sacramento Kings throw off the backboard alley-oop (Video)

The Sacramento Kings defeated the undermanned Boston Celtics on Saturday night and seemed to have some fun doing so.

With the Kings nursing a nine-point lead with a minute left until halftime, Sacramento point guard Isaiah Thomas streaked across mid-court where he was met with a pass from forward Derrick Williams.

Giving chase was Boston Celtics guard Jerryd Bayless, but a few steps behind, Bayless wasn’t likely to block Thomas’ upcoming lay-up. Of course, Thomas flipped the script on everybody and decided to pass up the sure two-points for a flashy alley-oop off the backcourt to the trailing Williams.

Thomas decided to throw the ball off the glass – the ball bouncing directly to Williams who flushed down the hammer dunk, much to the appeasement of the Sacramento crowd.

The showmanship didn’t come back to haunt the Kings and seemingly gave the team a bit of a push going into halftime in regards to momentum.

That momentum was lost come the fourth quarter when the Celtics pushed back and made the game tight, but the Kings were able to squeak out a victory.
